Pasta With Cheese And Homemade Sauce

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 250 g dry pasta, bowties or 250 g penne
  • 150 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 300 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 fresh basil leaves, chopped finely
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 sprigs parsley, chopped finely
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 cook pasta as directed on packaging. once pasta has cooked, start to prepare the sauce.
  • 2 to prepare the sauce add tomato puree, basil, parsley, salt, sugar and red wine into a saucepan. boil and reduce to simmer, 20 minutes.
  • 3 put pasta in bowl and place sauce ontop.
  • 4 garnish with the cheese and fresh basil leaves.
