Pasta Sauce With Mussels

Ingredients

  • 3 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 -12 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 12 mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 quarts tomatoes
  • 2 cans small tomato paste
  • 1 (15 ounce) can clam sauce or 1 (15 ounce) can red clam sauce
  • 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning
  • 1 can mussels
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 ounces wine or 4 ounces red wine
  • 1 lb hamburger, browned (optional)

Recipe
