Orange Raisin Rice Blend

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 bouillon cubes, chicken flavor
  • 1/2 cup golden raisin
  • 2 teaspoons orange rind
  • 1/3 cup almonds, slivered
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups water, cold
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Recipe

  • 1 combine above ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
  • 2 turn the heat to high.
  • 3 when mixture thickens, reduce heat to medium-low.
  • 4 stir once with fork and cover tightly.
  • 5 simmer 12-14 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.
