Orange Rice & Spice Breakfast

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 cup brown rice
- 2 cups water
- milk, to cover rice
- salt
- 1/2 cup dry milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (i don't like nutmeg, so i wouldn't use but a dash, but its your choice)
- 1/4 cup ground nuts
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- orange slice, to garnish (optional)
Recipe
- 1 mix rice water and salt in a saucepan.
- 2 bring to a boil, stir, cover and reduce to a simmer.
- 3 simmer 35-40 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- 4 add milk to cover rice.
- 5 stir in remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat until heated through.
- 6 garnish with orange slices, if desired.
