Pomodoro Sauce

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 3 tablespoons onion powder
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes, crushed
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup wine
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh basil
Recipe
- 1 in a large pot, heat oil.
- 2 add garlic.
- 3 cook over medium heat 1-2 minutes.
- 4 add onion powder and tomatoes into pot. bring to a simmer.
- 5 reduce the heat to medium-low, add wine.
- 6 simmer about 30 minutes.
- 7 season with salt and pepper.
- 8 remove from heat.
- 9 sprinkle the basil over the sauce and cover with the lid.
- 10 let stand 5 minutes. stir in the basil.
- 11 serve with favorite pasta and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
