Rice Stuffing For Turkey

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

Recipe

  • 1 cook the rice in 3½ cups water.
  • 2 sauté the onion through garlic in the butter.
  • 3 combine the rice and onion mixture with raisins through thyme, and mix thoroughly.
  • 4 stuff the bird just before cooking.
