Linguine With Creamy Spinach And Ham Sauce

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 (9 ounce) packages frozen creamed spinach
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup diced smoked ham
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 (9 ounce) package fresh linguine

Recipe

  • 1 thaw spinach in microwave.
  • 2 in a large skillet, heat oil. add ham and cook over medium high heat, stirring frequently until lightly browned.
  • 3 add garlic and cook 30 seconds. add creamed spinach and whisk in ricotta. cook, stirring, until sauce is heated through, 2 minutes.
  • 4 season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  • 5 meanwhile, in a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta. drain and transfer to a serving dish.
  • 6 pour sauce over pasta and serve.
