Easy Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese (half of a cream cheese block)
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup milk, divided
- 3 ounces mozzarella cheese, grated or 3 ounces parmesan cheese
- 1 dash ground black pepper
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 add cream cheese and garlic salt, stirring with wire whisk until smooth.
- 3 add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.
- 4 stir in mozzarella or parmesan cheese and pepper.
- 5 remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.
- 6 sauce will thicken rapidly; thin with milk if cooked too long.
- 7 toss with hot pasta to serve.
