Red Sauce

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced large
  • 1 yellow onion, diced large
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mixed italian herbs
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic; saute until the bell pepper softens, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • 2 add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, and italian herbs. reduce heat to medium-low and allow to simmer for 30 minutes. season to taste with the salt and pepper.
  • 3 serve over hot pasta of your choice.
