Red Rice

Total Time: 22 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes (petite)
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups rice

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan bring tomatoes and their juices, chicken broth( if using a can of chicken broth you won't have the entire 3 cups so just sub. with water), garlic powder, sugar and salt to a boil.
  • 2 stiri in the rice reduce heat and cover.
  • 3 simmer until rice is cooked through (about 20 minutes).
