Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs baby portabella mushrooms, washed and sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup wine
  • 4 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 melt the butter over medium heat in large sauté pan, add the mushrooms and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 add the minced garlic and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • 3 add the wine and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • 4 add the cream, reduce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • 5 add salt to taste.
  • 6 mix the chopped parsley with the sauce and parmesan cheese.
  • 7 serve over meat or pasta.
