Penne A La Whiskey

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb penne pasta
  • 10 -12 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium celery rib, minced
  • 2 cups whiskey
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 4 cups shredded american cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Recipe

  • 1 boil pasta according to instructions on package. drain and set aside.
  • 2 melt butter in a large skillet. whisk in flour. sauté garlic and celery until tender about 10 minutes. pour in whiskey and buttermilk. let reduce for 5 minutes then add cheese. once cheese is melted, stir in pasta and serve.
