Penne A La Whiskey

- 1 lb penne pasta
- 10 -12 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium celery rib, minced
- 2 cups whiskey
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 4 cups shredded american cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
Recipe
- 1 boil pasta according to instructions on package. drain and set aside.
- 2 melt butter in a large skillet. whisk in flour. sauté garlic and celery until tender about 10 minutes. pour in whiskey and buttermilk. let reduce for 5 minutes then add cheese. once cheese is melted, stir in pasta and serve.
